In this third free event brought to the Ashland community by Keeping Ashland Women Safe Task Force (K.A.W.S.) September 20th, 6:30pm~9:00pm at Love Revolution 383 E. Main, Ashland, we take our first deep dive with community into dialogue. This and more is happening against Women in Ashland: http://mailtribune.com/news/crime-courts-emergencies/man-tased-following-alleged-rape-attempt. We will invite personal experience and ideas for action on the multi~pronged Women's and Men's issue of violence against Women, and how to create Ashland as a "Not in my City" template.
This will include cultural/societal programming, consent and clarity, perceptions and importance of reporting, forms of threat/harassment/dishonor, systemic challenges, shock/trauma responses, and our individual and community responsibility, plus ideas for much needed change and balance. Tax deductible donations accepted to create a website and further work/events will be received at the event, though not required.
A safe and honoring container will be set and held by Founder and Chair Alaya Ketani CHT CFT CPC, Advocates from Jxn Cty Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and Communication Specialists.
