Help Protect Endangered Species- Stewardship

Fence Building at French Flat Area of Critical Environmental

We know there is no better way to foster love and commitment to sustaining wildlands than by offering people a chance to get outside, work together, breathe fresh air, and see positive results at the end of the day. Help your local Bureau of Land Management with a habitat restoration project at French Flat Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC), which is home to a large meadow with a population of federally endangered Lomatium cookii, or Cook's Desert Parsley.

The BLM plans to build a fence along the property boundary between the private property and the BLM protected botanical meadow, and needs your help in getting fence materials to the site, since it can't be accessed via a road.  Be prepared to carry wooden fence poles to the meadow in preparation for fence building which will occur at a later date!
